After a harrowing experience with the stripped screw, I have finally gotten my leitax adapter on my zeiss 35 1.4. However, I have two questions; one regarding the dandelion chip that David provides as a service and another regarding the camera itself. 1) I'm not sure if this is a feature of the dandelion chip or not but the shutter will NOT trip unless the AF point that is lit up thinks the subject is in focus. I am confused, as soon as I half press the shutter the AF light/AF point lights up and wont turn off whether or not the subject is in focus. This makes for composing/focusing away from the 9 points impossible. (This is also very different from the AF-Confirm adapters I've had on my various c/y and oly adapters. These adapters would ONLY light up when subject was focus); I know I am not crazy as I have put my 17-40L on manual focus mode and made the image completely out of focus and the shutter will still trip. 2) I know there is a dedicated AF-on button on the 5DII but I do not use it. I am used to half pressing/holding the shutter to trigger either AF or AF confirm (40D/1D3) and only turning on when focus was achieved. I've dug through the custom function IV.1 but I do not know which one to pick (0,1,2,3,4) even though I've read the manual. I believe I am doing something wrong in a combination of things. I only got the dandelion b/c I wanted the EXIF. ugh.
