Thanks Caleb. Don't discredit yourself. You have come a long way since your first posts on here.
And who said you never said anything nice. I should post more than I do though. Most of the time it wouldn't require any additional effort from what I put on my blog.
These are awesome.
I am shooting wrestling right now and I'd have never thought to shoot THAT close.
Are you using flash on or off camera/bracket? and if it's off where are you placing/how many?
I'm late to the party here I realize, but really glad I didn't miss this thread.
I think the greatest compliment I can pay you Paul is that this thread is making me want to go out and shoot and try new things. Honestly, this is inspirational stuff. I doubt I've ever seen a photo thread with this many absolutely incredible expressions captured so tightly and rightly. At the risk of adding to the drool already thrown on this thread... damn, you're good.
Paul great series. And I agree with you the face, eyes and the expressions that kids make in all sports at this age is worth there wait in gold. On a side note some of these tykes look like they may of been a hair taller then your 200-400.
Well the bar has been raised a little higher and whodda thunk wrestling with a 400 from matside no less.
These are stellar shots and just shows what a little bit of thinking outside the box can do. Thanks for opening that door Paul.
I'll be covering Jr. High Wrestling Championships tonight and I don't think I'll be taking a 400....but I'm certainly going to try the 200 1.8 and 1.4 TC and.....we'll just have to wait and see.
My wife thanks you Paul. After looking at this set, my next click was to the Buy & Sell Forum to sell all my gear. No need to keep it after seeing that. The question is -- how to you keep from laughing (or crying) when you look at some of the stuff I post here?
