Thank you Nikon.
What they meant to say was that they listened carefully to what DSLR viddies wanted from Nikon.
"Sure, a huge brick like this will indeed impress anyone that's not a photog standing near you."

You sound a bit negative (jealous?) Micheal. Your D700 won't quit working if someone else buys a D4. If you don't need a totaly Pro camera why begrudge those that do?
The first time I put my fingers on it was back in 12/11 and I just kept my mouth shut without saying anything. What is beyond me is a lot of folks believe new cams always improve their images. For the record, my preorder of D4 will arrive this month.

As a sports photog, I've always wanted to have the focus point re-orient when you flip the camera between landscape and portrait orientation. Part 1 indicates the D4 has this feature. Nice.

When Canon brought this feature out in the 7D and the 1D MK IV I was very happy to see it. Now that I have jumped over here to Nikon I am also equally happy that this feature has been built in. I can't tell you how many times when I was shooting sports it helped to get that shot even faster than having to hit the joystick to move the focus point from place to place when turning the camera to orientate it.
I won't probably get a D4 for awhile after they have fully hit the market and some of the photog's who didn't like it sell theres.
But I do know that the D3s used market will be very nicely stocked when it does come out and that camera was phenominal in so many ways!
