I often use Google Earth and Google Maps to scout for new places to photograph. I use this in combination with The Photographers Ephemeris to know where the sun is going to rise and set.
These are from the place I scouted friday and visited at sunrise the day after: Oxnö. Unfortunately there was a heavy overcast so I never got to see the sun rise, but it's a place I will definitely visit again.
I really like the mood of the last one. I'd suggest toning down the HDR processing on this set of images though. It's evident in some areas where the highlights are a bit too dark, or the mid-tones get a bit "crunchy"

I agree that they still feel a bit too "HDR-ish". I struggle a little to find the right balance between the good and bad with HDR.

I don't think the first two require any HDR processing. It's a rather low contrast scene, and the tonality is well within what your camera can produce. The third shot certainly has some very bright highlights with increased contrast, so the processing appears more normal on that one.
