Very cool. I like the way you placed the "Whistler" writing on the first two. I know at these speeds it's gotta be very difficult to track in any way from a standing point, but did you play around with any slower shutters for when they're at speed?
There was a snow bank 40' back where you could with a 70 - 200 do a panning shot. I did not even think of slowing the shutter down as in last nights event there were only 14 runners.
I was doing an article for a sports publication so I was more concerned with practicing for the Team Canada runs.
Nice shooting! I especially like the first two shots. Although shame on our team for going higher on the wall, so Whistler doesn't jump out as much as in the US shot.
This pop's nicely? Bob's a bit low in the frame but you can see the drivers eye's well?
The Blue of the sled and the Union Jack of the helmets makes for good contrast?
I love this sport. Been only shooting it now for just over a week now but the more you think about it the more you can use the speed for different styles of images?
World cup at Whistler is in November.......Cant wait...
