Ugh I had the razr and LOVED it, but had to exchange for an iphone bc the battery kept dying too quickly.
That was during Christmas. Last week I saw them advertising a NEW razr that supposedly has better battery life.

What the eff!!!!
I feel so robbed.

Eh, some iPhone will support it eventually Until then, I'll just consider it an incentive to keep myself off facebook and instagram more. I spend way too much time on my phone as it is. Not to mention if I actually have the time to look at something that requires lots of data (lots of photos, video, etc...) I'm usually somewhere with wifi.

I know, I know, it's probably awesome. Just let me live in my Apple bubble!

You never bought a Nav app for your iPhones? That is one of the first things I did when I switched from my original Droid to an iPhone 4S.

I didn't know really. I always used google maps. But the Andriod comes with it free. It also comes with the AT&T version which is $9.99/mo. But why use it when Andriod is giving theirs free.

All in all, I feel this phone has so much more to offer than the iPhone did. I never new Andriod Market was filled with so many apps. I was always under the impression Apple had more apps in their app store. Only downside to this phone is that I cannot plug it in my car and listen to aol radio. Unless I get a transmitter.

LTE is getting me near 20mbps down and 10mbps upload speed from last night's test. Which is AMAZING and almost near my FIOS speed.

Makes me want to sell my iPad2 and get the Galaxy Tab.

And believe me, I am very anal about changing but I've been pretty happy with this change.

LTE is a death trap (or money maker for providers)!!!

With regular 3G speeds you'd know that it's not fast enough to watch Netflix movies or upload your whole wedding photo set onto your server. For bigger transfers you'd seek for wifi. And thanks to that you don't need unlimited data packages. Now with LTE you can do everything as quick as if you are on wifi - so automatically you have nothing to remind you about amount of data you are transferring. So unless you pony up for unlimited data package (not grandfathered but new one which costs $60 or more), the provider will gladly add fees for overage data :-)

I've been with Android/Sprint for a while now. There are more apps than I will ever need and the Google integration is great. The HTC Hero was just okay, but the Samsung Galaxy S2 akes the Android experience to a whole new level.

I get unlimited data for the old $30
Old users get unlimited data plan if they had it. The only way I'd lose it if I got rid of data plan and added it again. So in that sense I'm safe. Personally, I never really use it that much. That day I was at the AT&T store and this guy came in because he has unlimited data plan, but it slowed down a lot. Why? Because he used 25 GIG! this month!! LMAO! My jaw dropped.

But you're right, it can be a trap for many that use it non stop. You know, eventually it'll all be unlimited. Just right now it's still pretty new so they have caps. Eventually the world will become mobile and they'll be forced to have one low price for all.

Momo,

read some articles on the actual COST of providing bandwidth (THAT INCLUDE INFRASTRUCTURE and R&D) and you'll see that the odds are stacked fairly strongly AGAINST having a low price anytime in the forseeable future (the costs are ridiculously low, the providers are taking us to the cleaners and any new entrants into the industry go after the FASTER/MORE market and don't really compete on price).

Think of Cable. The cost to provide THAT has collapsed through the decades, they got "competition" from satellite that you'd think would have caused prices to drop like a rock... and yet my comcast cable bill, for basic cable + internet is astronomically high (considering what it realistically should be)

Somehow or other the cable and telecom companies have convinced (many of) us that it makes sense that we would be spending upwards of $200 a month for phone and internet/tv service.

Can't avoid the home internet gauging (upload on DSL is too slow to upload client stuff, otherwise I'd be all over AT&T's $19.99 DSL plan). At least, thanks to Google Voice and Tracfone, the wireless providers are currently kissing my fat italian ass.

iphones don't have gps + nav? I just got my first smartphone a few months ago, and google calenders + gps navigation has been the most valuable feature by far. I'm not a massive app-head, so basic functions like this work well for me. Mine is a bit old/laggy, but happy none the less.

Iphone does have google maps but no built-in turn by turn nav app. But there are other apps which fill that gap very well, ie Waze.

I ditched my iPhone for android. I had the iPhone,iPhone 3GS and the iPhone 4. I just couldn't deal with all the limitations anymore. 4G is a lot faster. My Galaxy S2 has a 4.5" screen. I can FTP photos from my phone. It's awesome. The only issues I have with it is that it sucks up the battery. I get 1/2 a day with good use. But I have a spare battery so I can swap it out. Problem solved. Also the GPS reception sucks bad. I thought the iPhone was terrible but the Android is even worse. Otherwise it's good.

Best Android App EVER is JuiceDefender. Bought the paid app and my batter lasts for DAYS unless I've got the screen on for long periods of time. Even then it will last a whole day without sweating it.

I consider it a MUST HAVE app.

I haven't had any battery problems with my S2. In fact, I've accidentally left it on all day at work with the phone searching for 3G coverage and the battery easily makes it through the day. My old HTC would've died in 2 hours.
