Well, the 400/8 is longer than the 300/6.3 both in FL and length but somehow I like the shorter one better. I can't help wonder what the price and IQ would be like.
The 300/6.3 reminds me of the dwarfish Minolta 250/5.6 but this one covered FF with a size of a 50/1.4 lens. A much more difficult optical stunt. Oh, these were the days.....
