Simple compositions that work exceptionally well in monochrome, well done.

I also like the texture in 2

Fells like the exposure is a little under exposed according to the white digi matte next to the photos.

Hi Jack, Ray, Don & Steve,

Thanks very much for your most welcome and kind comments and glad you like the images. It was a good time to be there as the snow is all gone now.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the heads up, image exposure now corrected.

Wow! very nice photos. I love the style of the first and third--their simplicity with the contrast of the dark, dry plants against the snow. In the first photo the leaf that curves back into the snow provides a nice visual line in contrast with the straight stalk. The middle photo has a much different character to it that distinguishes it from the other two. It is not so simple as they are. The shapes of the snow give it a very sensual quality, and the small hole invites wondering, What little creature might go in or out of that hole. It is perfectly composed with the visual lines flowing at a diagonal across the picture frame rather than horizontally. All are really nicely done. Now, if only we'd get some snow here in Indiana so I could get out and take photos.

Very nice! My favorites are the first and second. The third feels too dark.

I like them. The last one is the trickiest since there is almost no detail (at least in the jpg) visible in the snow. I might prefer the snow a bit whiter, but that is easier to work to with a bit of detail to suggest the texture/form of the snow... detail that you do have in the other two.
