Rain has finally dried up so will hopefully get a chance to do some more shooting soon. For now though, a few more recent catch up shots!
Cheers,
Anthony
1) Hairy Mary
2) 32-spotted Katydid nymph (I think!)
3) Young Harlequin bug
4) Freshly hatched leaf beetle larvae
5) Purple winged mantid. Yes it's there . A very ordinary shot, but I tried for an age to get it to change it's pose, but all it did was slip around behind the twig. Anybody have any hot tips on how to make them crouch (for want of a better term)?
Latest blog post for anyone interested... Guilty pleasures "Despite my usual views, I occasionally reach a point where I go from toeing the line to blatantly flipping the bird at my long held conventions. It’s happened again recently and this time I think I took someone’s eye out…"
A very nice set, Anthony. Your katydid ID looks good to me.
I have the same problem with that mantis - mostly see them lurking in amongst the many leaves of grass trees, but never have been brave enough to post an image.
