Since we started pushing large print sales, we have been selling a healthy amount of 20x30's and sizes around that. We are in the situation where we are having a hard time finding a way to deliver these prints in a way that looks nice. We do our own hand-made packaging for smaller things (albums, books, etc.), but for something this large, we are not sure what to do.
Do you have a special way that you package or deliver larger prints?
Do you offer framing options or leave it up to the client to frame them?
I've been curious how to deliver larger prints with class as well. Interested to hear options.
The guys at h-bphoto.com sell large print boxes up to 24x30. The can imprint a logo on there as well I believe.
I think Rice Studio Supply sells large tote bags that can be branded in order to deliver framed or canvas prints.

Hmmm... Good to know someone does make boxes that big for flat prints that size. But wow... $20 per box! And a minimum order of 10 it looks like... $200 for 10 print boxes is an awful lot.
I've had the same problem in regards to finding a good way to deliver gallery wraps to clients in an elegant way. My most popular sizes to date have been the larger 20x30 variety.
I only sell mounted prints in large sizes to prevent damage from handling. I wrap in a black paper and use a stick on with my business name. Clean and finished looking and only about $2.00 of material at the most.

I agree with only selling mounted prints in larger sizes, anything 11 x 14 and larger is mounted if they order it from me. I have discovered prints that size or larger need the mount to frame properly, so if they are mounted before they leave the lab, they will not get dented or dinged. I disovered this once I started putting some larger prints in frames and wanted them to look good.
What kind of black paper are you using?
I tend to keep my larger work in the boxes with the corner protectors to ensure they don't get damaged before they get them framed.
no matter which way you look at it, is not going to be cheap, i work at a print shop and to pack and ship stuff like that is not easy, requires lots of packing materials to keep em safe, and if you want it safe AND pro looking that is even worse. a 24x36 i put in plastic back, pack with corner guards and i use a 4x8 sheet of cardboard to wrap it up and then put it in a 26x38.5x5 box.
