Since I cleaned house for my 300, I don't have very many options for glass... I basically only have my 85/1.8, 24-105L, and a kit lens.
I tried my hand again at strobing (SB flashes) some basketball. I used both the 85 and 24-105, usually at f/4-5.6 1/250th, ISO 800ish.
The ladies game was a fun game to watch. The mens game decided who would be at the top of the conference. ETBU (the white team) was the team I was covering. They lost in double OT...it was a really exciting game.
I was just out there to hone my skills...it wasn't a paid job. What do you think?
1. (a bit grainy...I was still getting stuff set, and it was WAY underexposed. I ran a little NR on it, but not much...I really had to push it)

Seems real harsh Jeff. Could you bounce them?
I couldn't really bounce them here...plus, they're only speedlights. I tried all sorts of different things...the last thing was putting them around the white-ish railing you see in the bg of the last few shots.
What are you seeing in the first shot making it a keeper?
I guess I thought that #1's action sort of resembled a tip off...its not, they're jumping for a rebound...but I thought it was a good way to start the series of images...I guessed wrong
