Not for me either mate. Nature and colour, can't really seperate 'em except in the dark.

Ok, thanks, guys. To be completely honest, there is just the tiniest bit of color, I think. Didn't drop the saturation all the way, if I remember correctly. But yeah, I see your point.

Black-and-white photography, to me, is a completely different photographic universe, and I don't even know how to compare its beauty with the beauty of color photography. Well beyond the well known difficulties of comparing apples to oranges.

I personally enjoyed these photos, especially the last one.

Is it my imagination, or coincidence, that the "black" is the background colour of this page?

As in the B of B&W. I don't see any true blacks.

Ah, I see what you mean. I didn't actually remove all the color from these, as I recall.

Kenny,

Has the terrible drought-related crisis down your way moderated to a significant extent? Has there been normal (or better) cool-season rainfall? Have the lakes and water reservoirs mostly refilled? Are there still concerns that a multi-year drought may be underway?

I would think that it might take several normal rainfall years for major drought damage to begin to resolve. It's hard to imagine or comprehend how widespread and damaging this type of crisis may become.

Phil, the short answer is the drought isn't gonna end anytime soon. We seem to be getting more rain this winter but, while I'm not complaining, it's too little, too late. Some of the stock tanks are refilling but then they are rather smaller than the lakes hereabouts. Most of the big lakes are coming up but slowly.

We are just stuck for a while. We'll make it though.

I like the black and white treatment Kenny as you can really concentrate on the structural details. Great set!
