I heard it from a good source that there is no IS in the new 24-70L II because the new 5D III will have in-body IS. I should now clarify that by a "source" I mean myself, and by "good" I mean worthless. Still kinda funny. I wonder if anyone suspends disbelief enough that they catch their breath on the first sentence.

I have the 24-105 and love it. I do too want a 24-70 with IS and if I had that I would still keep my 24-105 for many situations. The extra reach is nice when tou dont need 2.8
+ a ff camera opens up the wide angle possibilities regardless of aperture, and IQ is better
