p.1 #1 · Update Status of "For Sale" items

It would really be nice if folks would have the courtesy to mark their items as sold when it has been. I've run into this before but I think this may be the most I've encountered it. I just spent quite a bit of time searching for a lens and checked several ads. 16 ads said FS and when I got there then it was marked sold! One was even still listed as "still Available" but when I contacted the seller I was told it had been sold.

It may not be a major problem but by the time you select the ad, go there and find it has been sold, go back to the listing, search, and repeat it does eat up time.

Thanks for reading.

Drives me nuts too, Jim Part of the B&S "process" includes status updates AND feedback
It takes only a few seconds to do, and Fred makes it pretty easy to keep things running smoothly around here.
A little common courtesy goes a long way, eh?!

I have complained(not correct word choice here..more like frustrated suggestion ) to Fred numerous times as well to the seller/buyer but nothing has been done. "Searching" then finding an item, seeing it is not sold/bought, then PM/emailing said person only to find out that item is sold/bought is frustrating.
I recommended to Fred that after B/S post expires that it be marked in some way if SOLD/BOUGHT is not "bulleted on ad.

Also,There are many sellers and buyers who refrain from posting any positive feedback at all. Therefore I leave no feedback for them if no response in a reasonable amount of time(15-30days). Why they won't on a positive sale/buy is beyond me. They don't even bother to respond to inquires as to why no feedback was left!
I guess courtesy is beyond their comprehension.

Seriously? It sometimes take buyers hours to actually send payment so sometimes an item is sold but not sold. Also if you price something aggressively multiple offers can arrive more or less at the same time. I think this is just something that is going to happen on occasion.

Very apropos unless you are camping at the beach where the motto is:

"If it's yellow, let it mellow;
If it's brown, flush it down!"
