Waiting for the coffee table book, Eric!! Magnificent photos. Hemingway would be jealous of all your safaris. Number 6 is my favorite - wind in their hair.
GENE
I have been thinking about...is that a good first stage...now if I could only go from thinking to doing...by the way, speaking of Hemmingway... just saw Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris...what a hoot!

Wow Eric, these are tremendous, all of them.
Hmm "Is this Heaven?...No, it's Africa......Seems in this set they are one and the same! love the shots and the captions Great set!
Lar
Thanks Lar...I do come back from my Africa trips a bit more spiritual so the line has a bit more to it than a Field of Dreams reference...I do really appreciate your kind words.

Had you got a ladder for the first one Eric But what a perspective and a bg there!
I do like the look in the lion's eyes in #5 and the forlorn look of the young adult in # 7.
Really great set to be able to extract from the archive.

Thanks Martin...just got lucky with light and the position of the giraffe and a helpful hand from the oxpeckers. Lions do seem to be expressive and their body language does seem to tell what they are thinking. I get the itch to look back when new processing software comes out and then I find stuff I've never looked at...and I wonder why.

More great images, Eric! I can feel the breeze in the lion series
Socrate
Glad you liked them Socrate...it was blowing so hard that it was difficult keeping the long lenses still...but it did make for some cool effects.

Beautiful shots
Your title had me smiling too
Howard
Thanks Howard...it is a bit of a reference to a movie called "Field of Dreams". It is ostensibly a baseball movie but much more than that. A young player asks, "Is this Heaven" and the reply is "no it's Iowa"....it is a movie that transcends sport however and even if you are not a baseball fan I think you would like it. (I only mention it as it might not have had a broad appeal in the UK due to the subject matter)

Super set Eric and I can understand your being excited about the NJ Giants.
The background and resulting glow on the giraffe is wonderful my friend. That hippo and the cuddly cubs are fabulous photos. Who combed the liens main in #5? Do you take a makeup team with you? 7 is simple and spectacular.

Thanks so much Morris...giraffes are difficult to get interesting pix of so I was pretty happy with that one...and cubs of any type seem to be full of beans and love to be photographed.
I really appreciate all the kind words....really looking forward to spring and GHO time.

Great set. Number 8 is my fave. Lovely texture. Also the windswept lions are very cool Well done.
Thanks so much...the grasses on the plains were very high due to lots of rain and lack of herbivores and that gave some interesting photographic opportunities.

You're right the roller sucks! The others are well done. The giraffe would be better if you would have included all of the horns. The 2 lions are fabulous. Don
Thanks for the Gut check Don....I fixed the roller so it doesn't quite suck as much...I like the giraffes the way it is (that's full frame)...howevah, I will produce the image you want soon...I like it too but not quite as much...horse races my friend...glad you liked the 2 leos.
