No doubt, if the 85 prime will be one of your main shooting lenses--the one you will consistent depend on, the 85L is the way to go for build quality, consistency, and service.
I personally use 85 primes only once in a while (preferring the 35L and the 70-200L) and so the Sigma works fine for me when I am looking for that focal length.
