I have a 28" silver BD made by fotodiox. I have only used it for three shoots but am liking it so far. I can only compare it to my 16" litedome which being half the size, isn't really a fair comparison. I can say that with the grid it can be fairly harsh. I have adopted some of the techniques that this guy uses and feather the light a bit. He uses both a PB and e-photo BD. The images below are with a grid in place.
