I've got a tiny studio but I'd love to do some shoots with some nice accent pieces probably just a nice chair now and again. Any ideas for furniture rentals or something along these lines that would give me access to nice furniture for a day or two at a time?
If you are in No. VA you might check Greenfront Furniture off 234 and Cloverhill Rd. near the Manassas Airport. They are a source that model home stagers use and have a huge warehouse full of stuff. I don't know if they do short-term rentals for photography but you could find that out with a phone call.
I usually rent stuff either from a Store (if it needs to be contemporary and rather new) or from a Vintage store. I usually hire an Art Director / Production designer for that since they know the owners of most of those places and sometimes get stuff for free and take care of everything. You will most likely need a truck for transport (closed, to prevent damage from impact/water/dirt), forget about using a pickup unless it has a lid and its something small.
The other option is going to where the furniture is and take the photos there. I have done that too.
