The ad says full 1080p, didn't you read it?
I know .. just kidding. I don't have $6000 to spend on a body. I would spend it on a super-tele though. But, looks like a sweet upgrade for D3 owners.

What are those buttons next to the AF-on buttons? Look like extra directional pads.
Most likely. The D3's are missing a d-pad when vertical, not sure why it needs the mini one next to the main one though. I guess it makes changing AF points while composing easier, but then I don't see a real need for the large d-pad.
Nah.....too expensive, too gadgety lookin and ugly......I think I'll be switchin to Canon.
Oh wait, what am I saying .......I am in the Canon camp already.

No differentiation between AF-S and AF-C on the focus switch either??
I may be wrong, but it looks like it might have the centre push-button in the AF/MF switch à la D7000. The one thing that really frustrated me about the D700 after using a D7000 was the lack of on-the-fly AF adjustment. With the D7000, you just press the centre button and spin the rear command dial for AF-S, AF-C or AF-A and spin the front command dial for 9, 21, 39 point or 3D tracking.

What's with the glut of buttons and dials? Yuck. It seems to be D7000 inspired buttons galore design. What happened to Nikon's simple ergonomics?
d800... d400 where are you?
Doesn't look much different than the D3 series. Why would a Canon user care?
