p.3 #1 · Fuji X-Pro 1

More system choices, options and competition in the marketplace are bad things?

Any new "system" that is locked into one brand is a bad thing in my view. I'm interested in using mirrorless bodies as a platform to use whatever lenses I want, I have no interest in buying a body that locks me into using only that manufacturer's lenses, for me that would definitely be a bad thing.

Maybe it'll have an in-lens leaf shutter system. You could probably hang just about any brand of lens on the body, but you'd have to use your hat for a shutter. Talk about 'old school'

Since it's now been stated that Fuji will release their own M mount adapter for the camera, the XPro1 either has a focal plane shutter and/or some type of electronic sensor shutter.

This might be true, but who stated it? IMO, it's all speculation until Fujifilm actually releases the specs.

That'll do it for me. But only if it comes with an inbuilt sand glass.

It is but the same source seems to be the first to provide exact specifications so It's probably a little more than just a guess.

I'll be pinching my pennies until I see what Leica come up with this year.

EDIT I should qualify that statement; while this sensor may outperform any full frame sensor with regard to colour/moire/noise, I don't feel like cropping $5000 lenses. If I were a huge fan of the rendering of the X100 lens I would reconsider, but if that lens is indicative of how the Fuji lenses for the Xpro-1 will render, they won't quite be to my taste.

Hopefully the rumors of an official M adapter indicate this will be compatible with other lenses (also the pricing of the lenses vs body indicate most of their margin could be in the bodies themselves).

Fingers corssed for a good EVF and MF solution in that case.

Interesting times.
