About three years ago, I asked the FM community for their preferences on book printers. I got replies like Asuka, Black River, White Glove, Blurb, WHCC, Pikto, etc.
I'd like to see what opinions are now. Are there any new companies that I should be checking out?
I would like to know your favorite:
1.) Photo book (coffee table style) printer
2.) Wedding Album vendor
For hardcover bound books, I like to use Blurb. You can't beat their prices. I usually get a quick book put together of an engagement session and give it to the bride and groom as a wedding gift if they have also used us for the wedding. The quality isn't half bad, and the service is great.
I've used Blurb in the past as well. I've been happy with them for the basics as long as I don't make books that are too many pages. I had repeat quality issues when I made a series of books that approached their limit. To their credit, they stood behind their work and reshipped the same multiple book order twice until it was right.
I'm excited of the prospect of them being built into Lightroom 4. I hope that feature makes it to the final.
