Targeting wedding and portrait photogs, thus the price. Hah. Why would you toss a 5D2 or similar out to shoot weddings with this? Poor excuse for the price point, the camera is clearly targeted at enthusiasts.

Yes, and with the special CFA arrangement, I would expect third party software to take a while.
Also, looks like they are estimating only a 10 frame raw buffer. That seems thin for a pro wedding camera rig, especially for someone coming from a high end DSLR. Guess we will see.

I can see why they've been talking down FF cameras in regards to this camera. Its nearly in the same space as the 5DII and they're trying to get wedding photogs. They have a steep hill to climb then.
Body plus lens comes in about the same as NEX-7 plus ZA24. Expensive but not absurd, if the lenses are equal to the ZA24.
Fuji's probably being smart here - they make a slightly higher margin for people who buy it wanting to mount legacy lenses, but their own lens offerings are rather affordable.
That said, for those looking for an M9 sized camera with a great sensor and solid prime lenses, this looks to be a very interesting system. It's a little big for me (and a little pricey), but it's got great potential and will probably have VERY high image quality. Great to see Fuji put out real photographic tools.
One downside I did see from the DPReview preview is that the tripod mount is literally right next to the door for the battery, and it's quite far away from the edge. I think it might be difficult to design an Arca Swiss plate for it that won't block the battery/card door. Hopefully RRS and Kirk can manage one that works around it and is still secure and stable, but it might be tough.
