I still have half a dozen 256MB cards I bought with my 10D in 2003. I shot RAW and each card held about the same amount of images as a roll of film...
Somewhere buried in the rubble of my old photo stuff I have an 80MB card from my Sony D700/770 days that some of the old timers on here will remember before most of us got our D30's.
I have a 8mb that came with my Nikon Coolpix 990. Still have a 990 too. I remember the pain of buying a 80mb CF card from B&H or Adorama for almost $300.
I have some old smart media cards, and XD as well. I believe my oldest is a type III microdrive that fit my Kodak 6mp DSC-410 which came out in 1995. I bought the camera used much later for $100, the original $35,000 price tag was just a bit steep.
I just looked and found a 16 MB Olympus smart media card that came with my C-4040 Zoom...... that's if you don't count the Sony Mavica I have which used the 3.5" floppy's
I have a 16 MB CF that came with my first digital - Canon G1. Shortly after, I got a D30, and hunted for high capacity cards. 128 MB were about the limit commonly available. When I got a 1D, I splurged on one of the early 1 GB cards, which had just dropped from its introductory price of $799 all the way to $699!

I still have the 1GB card I purchased for the 10D…because of the holiday 'giving' season, I'll let it go for the deep discount price of just $249.
When I first bought my brand new just released 10D (my first digital), I bought a 1gb "pro" cf card for $329.... I didn't blink at the price, I just bought it thinking of how many rolls of film it represented. I still have the card..... . Within a year after that, the cards were 1/3 the price.....
I have an 8 MB card that came with my first digital camera - Nikon Coolpix 990 (and that thing took great pics).
To that I added FOUR 32 MB cards for a big European vacation I took... prices were about a buck a megabyte back in 2001 and I just graduated from grad school - money was snug.
So yeah, a 3 week vacation and I had room for about 130 images. I did a lot of chimping and discarding to fill those babies up.
I found the bunch of old cards I gave my dad years back. They were in a packet in a draw and included a 4mb ,8mb the canon 32mb mentioned above , 128mb & 256mb cards. The one that was miss inning was the 1gig micro drive I used to have.
