Could you tell me where did you buy it from?It just looks like new.I currently have the 300 2.8 non IS and love it but since I moved to APSH I have been wanting a bit more reach.If I can find a mint version of this 400mm just like yours I might sell my 300 to buy it.

Anyone know how this lens compares to the Mark II in terms of image quality on a large sensor camera? Also, how does the AF compare to the 400mm f/5.6?

This one is actually the Mark II version of the non IS, did you mean the MK II IS?

400 2.8 EF L 11 on 5D2

I went looking for those building the other day and now there gone. Like many land marks and habitat around these parts, there disappearing.

Just called Saneal in Calgary where I bought in from and they have one more in the bow for $6200. Talk to Jack good guy.
