When I google and click on the site I want, it has been "redirected" to some similars but not the site I want. very frustrated! The "redirect" command is given from this "gimmeAnswers.org"
How do I get rid of it? I tried to look in the cookies, but of no use.
It's called the 're-direct' virus. Norton used to have a specific tool for it. Not sure if they still do. It is very tricky and a lot of AV software do not detect and remove it sucessfully.

NOw we are getting some where. I thought it is somehow legitimate. I will work on it.
Thanks
In the meantime, if you have any more light please let me know

malwarebyts free version.......you might have to install it and run it in safe mode.....but maybe not.....try 1st just downloading and installing. Then run it.......it will find your malware and will remove it for you......Peter
As an IT geek before I got into photography as my mainline, malwarebytes is a lifesaver. Anyone who connects their machine to that darn Interweb should scan with malwarebytes every couple of weeks.

+1
There are more than one of them and they are really nasty. Killed one of my old computers. I had a running support case with Microsoft for 3 weeks and they couldn't help me fix it. Try Malwarebytes, Kapersky, Vipre, etc. If your computer pops up offers to scan your computer and it look sort of like official Microsoft but not exactly, what you have there is hostageware. The next thing will be the first offer about what it will cost you to fix it..... which of course doesn't and the game continues until you catch on and stop paying (or they drain your credit card account).
Combofix is not a general purpose malware remover and should not be used as such. It is a targeted (with scripts, written by someone who knows what the hell he's doing) app that can leave your computer unbootable if you happen to be unlucky in just running it randomly.
Sign up for a Bleeping Computer account and follow the instructions about how to post your symptoms (Are you new to Bleeping Computer?) You will be assigned a helper to guide you through the disinfection process. The results are generally good, but with some infections the only recourse is to format and start over.
Which is why I image my OS drive every month. Formats are so freaking painful...
My recommendation is that if your computer gets infected -- then the ONLY safe method to get rid of the problem is to restore your computer from a good clean backup.
There are a load of good cheap 3rd party backup / restore programs --for Windows use things like Acronis
Keep the OS + Application programs on it's own smallish partition -- keep the data (photos etc) on separate partitions and disks.
For Windows Microsoft's FREE MSE (Miscrosoft security essentials) is a good AV program offering decent realtime protection as well and the virus definition file is updated nearly every day
