Bring some sort of cellular connection if you need to get on, and even then expect some congestion.
If you have ATT and an iPhone, turn off 3G because you won't get any reception, and it will constantly search for a signal, effectively draining your battery in 2 hours
We were thinking about going, then decided against it for budget reasons. But...just found out that a friend who wanted us to do her wedding decided she wanted to do a Vegas wedding instead...on the 18th of Feb! So, we might be coming after all for a wedding and trade show extravaganza!

OHHH... I want to go!!! I think maybe I will have to tell hubby its time to take our 10th year anniversary trip (which was 2 years ago and surprise him with the WPPI lol, tho I'm not sure I'd make it home alive...he already believes I breath photography )
TRR has a workshop in Vegas? How awesome is that? I wish I knew about this, but then again I've been MIA from here for like 5 months.
Just a heads up to anyone who might be interested in the classes. If you're a WPPI member, you can get full access to all the platform classes for $199 through early registration ($379 for non members), which ends today I believe. I've never been to the platform classes, so not sure if this is a worthy investment, but just wanted to give you all the heads up about the deadline. I might skip all the platform classes myself, but I'm thinking of maybe attending a few master classes since they're $55 a each. Has anyone been to any of the masterclasses before or have any recommendations?
We will most certainly have FM meetups. We'll make a separate thread for that as we get closer tot he actual date.

If you're a total novice, then its probably worth it. Otherwise, my class success rate (the rate
that I didn't hate/walk out of the classes was about 10-15%

Definitely. In the past we did breakfast. Though last year half of us were too hungover to
function in the morning.
Wear comfortable shoes! Plan ahead of time what vendors you want to visit - there are so many! Be sure to add Photographers Ignite to your schedule it's typically very inspiring and often quite funny! http://photographersignite.com/
The trade show is amazing! But the "classes" seem more like promotions to me. Sometimes they mention some decent marketing tidbits, but for the most part the presenters just talk about how awesome they are.
