right now my B firmware is 1.02...
im always scared of firmware upgrades.
on the official bug fixes, i never suffered from the problems that 1.03 fixes.... just some focusing problems.
anyone who went from 1.02 to 1.03 see general improvements?
why are you scared? i do them all the time. you need to understand that those are the published fixes. they tend to clean up code and such as they go along and thats not published. i did it to my partners camera and no ill effects.
just make sure your battery is charged.
In the past some firmware updates bricked the camera. I haven't read of this happening in a while,so I guess Nikon is doing better regression testing. I always wait a day or two before updating to see if people had problems. This update has been out for a while and there haven't been any reports of problems. (FWIW, I also did the update.)
