I'm looking ti get some software to be able to sync 2 drives together
this way i can keep my photos always backup .... I don't have the cash for Drobo for now

Which operating system?

I use robocopy that comes with windows 7 and all it does is mirror folders for me.
Write a one line batch file for ease of use.
Free.

for reference, on the Mac side:

If you just want to backup a hard drive full of photos, Carbon Copy Cloner is free, and does this well. It also creates bootable drives for your Mac, so you can backup your computer as well.

If you want to do smart copying with extras such as schedules, live backup, rules, etc, then Chronosync is excellent, but not free.

If you just want to backup a few folders here and there, SyncTwoFolders is free, and does this.
