I'm not sure if the 85 1.4 accepts TCs or not, I believe it does. But why not take and slap a 1.4 TC on a 85 1.4 and you get a 120 f2.0 which is close enough... with quite fast AF speed.
That combo is no where near as fast as the 200/2 afs. The 85/1.4 is slow to AF--I've tried many for indoor sports.
I certainly enjoy prime lenses and I have a 105 F2DC. I enjoy seeing what "the big boys" can do with their 200 F2 lenses but my point is this; you are kind of stuck in the same place when using a prime for sports which traditinally "move all over the place". Let us hear your sport stories where your 200mm F2 was somewhat ineffective because the players were all over the arena and the prime was only good when they moved into a certain area of the field for you. Isn't that the "goodness of zooms"?

it depends. What would say to 200-400mm f2 zoom lens on 5 MPixel camera when shooting sports? Advantage is that you get up to screaming 12 Mpix when players come closer and DOF like at f4 when they are far.
