Someone on another photo forum was all hung up on my religious aspect my image.
So he could not get past that. Art is not always about the viewer.
Some get their strength from a box of Wheaties in the morning, some from the cross.
I have no shame in my faith. Though I will never rub anyones face in it and try to convert you, but it will be reflected in most my work.
99% of my friends have no faith or believe in Christ.
It has never been a prerequisite to be a friend of mine to believe what I believe.
Don't know why I felt the need to post that here since this is one of the more respectable photo forums. but it is what it is...
Really nice work here Keith. First time I have seen the third image and I really like it.
No worries on someone being hung up on your image content.
You gotta do what you like to do and express yourself as you see fit. It is what it is and keep them coming.
I have to tell you that it is nice to see something on this forum other than "painted" images. Although the painted photos are nice, these really stand out and have meaning to them.
Did some subtle work on these and posted over the originals. Will probably still do some slight tweaking on them over the weekend. Have another one in the works now as well. But it is far from finished.
Excellent photo-illustrations. You harmonize the disparate image elements very well, and your overall compositions are very effective. I echo Klaus's comment about the refreshing quality of these pieces in a forum dominated by "painted" or tone-mapped photographs. There's no "talent" radio button or slider in Photoshop, so it's nice to see someone use their skills to push the boundaries of the software.
Very nice creative stuff. I like them all, and would love to know how you create these images. As I study Drifter V, it seems the drifter is out of scale with the scene. I can't put my finger on it exactly, but it seems out whack compared to the depth of the image, the size of the statue and the size of the slider rock. Love your stuff, and not a criticism, just what my "eye" is seeing.
