Thanks guys. There is a thin black wire attached to the back of the leaf and then to the camera. The wire is hidden by dark tree trunk. I rotated the camera down to show movement.

Thanks Bill. One thing that helped make this work was using a 17mm focal length it put the leaf very close to the camera and the lengeth of the wire was very short. That way when the camera was panned the wire didn't flex and blur the leaf.
