p.1 #1 · Copyright question (should I re-file?)

I have an image I put incredible effort into achieving. I immediately scanned the film with my LS9000ED scanner and filed electronically for copyright. I then sent the film off and had it professionally scanned in a drum scanner. The image is the same piece of film, but some things like some huge glare around a light path in the image are gone in the drum scan compared to my original nikon scan.

Even though the two scans are based on the same piece of film, there are some significant differences.

In the time that has elapsed I now have a certificate of registration for the original scan. Should I re-send it? Or will the original copyright be enough?

I am not willing to post it anywhere online until I figure an answer to this.

If there are 'significant differences' as you say, I would rather be safe than sorry. Old adage: an ounce of protection is worth a pound of cure.
