khphotography insisted on running their contest on the board and even though I explained why we don't allow contests, I was persuaded and gave in.
Now, I regret my decision since there is no closure and fingers are being pointed to the admin. I apologize to anyone who was let down by this thread and promise you I will not let this happen again.

No one can fairly blame you, and for the record, the thought never crossed my mind.
Each member made their own decision for their own reasons and while a $100 prize would be fun, no one here is going into hock without it.
FM is a wonderful community, and this is just a small bump in the road --- it's time to move on --- but not before I thank you for all you do to keep the forum on course.

Fred, I don't think anyone was let down, per say, and I'm positive no one is pointing fingers at you. I was just curious as to the outcome. I expected someone to pipe up that KH emailed/PMed them and they were the one that won.

I believe the main issue is this:
First post:
"...it'll be a $100 gift card to one person that participates. All I'm asking is for you to post that you voted, and the dogs rank."
Then:
"Once they post up who the winner of the contest is I'll get fred to randomly pick one person. There is a chance it could be 1st place!"
Frankly, I do not want to randomly pick one person.
If khphotography believes that is the best way to conduct his offer, he should pick someone himself. I will send him a PM about it.
