From the same outing ... not much color in the trees from this angle. Tossed some mild (too mild) effect pp at the water to contrast the sky some. Tried to approximate the Golden Mean comp a bit.

To my eyes it has a slight color issue leaving slightly dingy. Try a curves layer and click the gray dropper on a gray cloud reflection or cloud. Consider some mid-tone bump to the greenery and perhaps a wee bit of smart sharpening it.

Nice capture of a pleasing setting.

When the fall colors come it will be interesting to see the difference!!

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks.

Yes, fall colors might be nice ... but it has been SOOOOOO DRYYYYYY here that things that are changing have a very dull change to them so far ... willl just have to wait and see what a good hard frost brings.

Nice comp I love how the large tree at the left edge is mirrored in the distance on the right.
Wonderful sky.
Color looks much better in the second.
I'd think about opening up the shadows in the reflection of the tree on the left.

Scott, thanks.

Went back and tried to open up the reflection a tad.
