Just got my FD55/1.2 SSC Aspherical converted. The IQ is amazingly good at f/1.2 MFD. Definitely better than Leica 50/1.4 E60.
I had recently decided to get one for my collection, good to see it's a good one.
Great shot! Post more please.

Just tried a 85/1.2L II from a friend, and it turns out FD55/1.2 Aspherical has almost identical IQ as the 85/1.2L II ! Sorry, I don't have the image at hand, but I enlarged both images on my camera to see the details. I am totally amazed by Canon's optical achievement from 30 years ago.
Strange, My 55/1.2 aspherical could focus infinity without problem. It will hit the mirror of 5DII, exactly like what you just said.
The lens modifier told me "some" 5D can clear the mirror of this lens. I am using it happily on my 30D though.
This lens is totally beyond my expectation. It shows great performance at close up, great bokeh as you noticed, and less LCA than current EF50/1.2L.
The 55/1.2 has different lens design compared to FD 50/1.2 L. The rear element of FD 50/1.2 L is fixed when focusing while the FD 55 is moveable
I think the infinity loss is because the repairman move the rear element forward.
I don't have the 55/1.2 non-asph, but this 55 1.2 asph do have a fixed rear element, a clear sign of floating element design as FD50/1.2L.
BTW, I am waiting for Canon's FF mirrorless camera. I am sure it will be mirrorless in the future, but I just don't know when.
You could shave the 5DII's mirror, I'm not sure if this will eliminate your mirror hang, but it should allow you to focus further away than you can now with out the mirror hitting.

3. Waiting for Ed Mika upcoming adjustable FD-EOS kit (I've received the info from Ed about this). It could make the fixed rear FD L optic moveable like the FD non L (such as 55/1.2)...
The lens fixed in the mount is a correction method for close focus correction. When the lens is moved with the hole lens assembly the near field quality degrades. How much is different question, probably not enough to be too much.
A few hand held low light shots with the 85L on Samsung NX11. Wish I'd used my NEX, which has better high ISO performance, but I didn't have it with me.
You cant go wrong with the 85 f1.2 L
BTW, that second shot would have been an absolutely perfect family photo if that bloody bunch of flowers was'nt in the way!
I picked up the 85/1.2L in nFD again recently. I really like this lens! I guess everyone knows it already, but it's still fun to shoot and post with it. Here's some with it at it's widest:
