I have this opportunity to get a photo for a magazine (possible cover), but it is to be done in a garage. I need to get an electric vehicle charging station with two people in the picture. I, of course, want to make it look the best I can. Yuck environment.
I'm thinking I'll get up high and shoot down more to eliminate clutter (and ugly walls). I may light with a harder light on the subjects to let the other areas fall off. Here's a photo of the environment: http://bit.ly/q3uwxC
Find a good looking garage. The clutter and unfinished look will pull the eye if its in your frame. A high-end garage will complement the e-vehicle. And the car doesn't have to be actually plugged in to anything, it just has to look as if it is.
And do you have to have a garage? If the editorial slant permits, you could similate plugging the car into something else. Anything else but that garage. (I'd offer you my garage but it looks just like yours. )
