You are getting great shots out of the N28-80. I could never get mine to produce like that. Good work
Thanks Doc, honestly, I can't get it as good when I coupled this lens with my Canons ( 500D & 5D2) either.Let me explain : Canon digital sensor has problems of color and especially red color rendering, colors from Canon seem little "bleach " or "wash" , and the red has a tendency to "erase" delicate detail on it that is someone called "cartoon ' phenomenon ( when you can only define the border not the details inside), so everything becomes flat .Beside it, to make 1 color Canon( and most other digital sensors on market now except Foveon) sensor needs to "twist" red, green, blue pixels those are arranged side by side: so needs 3 pixels to make 1 color - it's like on TV screen you can see it with a loupe - on Foveon has no that limitation: 3 color pixels arranged vertically, so no "twist " process here. This difference makes Foveon become a "sharp" sensor and true color ( this is the same 3 layers of color film ).Sorry if I can't explain it clearer. So the problem is Foveon plays a big role here beside Carl Zeiss T* 28-80mm .
I have to get used to the handling of Nex camera, but so far I think the camera is a god-send for manual focus lens users, especially for old eyes like myself....
