You must be doing something right. My Coquette didn't quite make 20 (2 weeks shy), He best friend Made it 17 (he was 1.5 years younger, so...)
Now, I was a real bummer before with Suiki passing (still bums me out), but the good news is we have decided that we're going 'kitten adopting' on Saturday, and it has a good chance of being 'plural' kittens, so they play with one another, and Saci can join in or ignore them as he likes, so with LUCK, Sunday, we should have new photos
We would so thrilled if our cats could live to 20 ... and it is very possible with good nutrition and medical care.
Really great to hear that you will be adopting or saving the lives of a couple of kitties this Saturday. Can't wait to see what you get!
A friend's cats in Taipei... not sure what these are, though I suspect they're expensive. They were a bit skittish, but eventually warmed up to me to the point where they would sit beside me on the couch.
Thanks Bobby! I love cats but haven't had one since the Maine Coon that adopted my family, as well as a few others in the neighbourhood passed away 2.5 years ago. Before him we had a female cat for over 18 years... that we got as a kitten from a farmer. She was pre-digital, so I don't have much of her in electronic format to post here, but here are some of the Maine Coon...

IDII and 600 f/4L IS for the first two, 85L for the last two.
And here is an ages old pic of another resident tortoiseshell, Emma. Haven't seen her around for a couple of years presumably because the owners no longer let her out, but I'm fearing the worst. http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa262/snopchenko/catz/_MG_9254.jpg
30D, and the wonderful bokeh will tell you what lens I used.

Not the greatest photos, but after my downer posts RE Suiki, here is a couple of photos I grabbed of our new kitties, Shadow and Lilly. We've had them 5 days, so haven't had much time to get good photos, and they are still VERY camera shy
