I love all of these. I have a TON of cat photos, having done some part-time gratis shooting for a shelter. However, I will confine myself to my own cat buddy and my favorite shot so far this year. This is my 4-year old Ocicat, Sunny, in a moment of repose with his favorite sunbeam. Canon 1Ds2 with 70-200 f2.8L IS.

Sorry to hear about your cat. Cats have unique personalities that grow on you. She is a shedder for sure. I picked up a new pair of black slacks, it took no time for the slacks to be covered in orange fur. I just replaced the carpet with hardwoods, and the piles of fur are more visible. Easy to attack with a vacuum.

Close - I posted a shot of my Burman - very close breed.
My Maine Coon - aka El Gordo Gato - likes to torture chipmunks. Problem is I *like* chips and it puts us at odds. He's a damn good cat tho... smart too. I just read somewhere that Maine Coons are one of if not the smartest cat breeds.
