I am going to go out on a limb here, and say that since we are meeting October 8, we won't meet the week before, nor the week after. Therefore we are tentatively discussing the addition of a date in September:

So, the time is coming closer. Can we have some votes on September 10, 17, 24?
Cyra, October 8 has already been decided on. By chance, a large number of out-of-towners can make it on that date, so we settled on that. Now there are people who would like to meet another time before then, especially some people who cannot make Oct. 8, so we are trying to choose a second date:

If I leave out the Berliner just for now, the list looks like this, since we have not got a reply from Heinz:
so it looks like Sept 17t is the best for those coming from elsewhere, provided Heinz really can come, but on this date only 3 rather than 4 Berliner could come.
If you wait until Heinz comments, it might get to late.
Okay, well, it seems reasonable to make a choice now since otherwise it gets very tight, so on the basis of your logic, we should choose Sep. 17.
If anyone has any reason for us to not choose Sep. 17, please speak out tonight, otherwise we can choose this date. If no one has spoken out by tomorrow morning, let's lock it down too.
I plan to come, but have not booked anything yet. How is the schedule, when do we meet and for how long? Phillipe you stay overnight from Sat to Sun? Will we all meet on Sunday as well? should I fly, would it be better into Berlin or Berlin Tegel?
I am still in for it. Would be nice tomorrow, because of the exceptional weather forecast. Who knows what weather we have on Sept. 17 ? Will it rain cats and dogs ?
I used to protect my camera and lens in light rain with a cut off plastic from toast bread (tightened with a rubber band around the lens hood and open at the other end for slipping one hand inside to control the lens.
Tomorrow would be nice, but unfortunately I can only be there on Saturdays. Sundays I am taking care of my daughter. You could of course meet others, if any are able.
cyra, Tegel might be a little closer to where we meet, but the connections to Schönefeld are vey good, so it isn't so important. I could also meet earlier than 12 next week, and am free into the evening, but Sunday I am again busy.
Thanks guys. If I fly in, I would be landing at 12.00 as well in Tegel. Train is more than 8h. I have the option of flying out on Sunday at 9h, go by train at 16.39 on Sunday or fly back on Monday morning.
Anyone who has time on Sunday and wants to stroll around some more?
