Thanks fly. I'm not too sure I like the B&W treatment, though....I think it's because the grass and trees were the exact same green (in real life) and they're coming across as a bit too blended...I might revisit the shot and do some selective color filtering to separate them a bit more.

One more...a visit to The Home Depot to pick up some lighting equipment (for the house, not the camera!

) and I just had to buy this Asiatic Lily. (and a tomato plant, and a bell pepper plant, and some other flower but they're not as pretty)

A33, Sony 75-300.

I'm mildly surprised at how non-awful the 75-300 is at 300mm. It's still a little soft and definitely low-resolution but the colour is nice and I was expecting much worse performance. That said, it's still not worth carrying in my bag.
