It seems I am seeking the title "King of the Banal Panorama"!
Let the terror of banality continue. . .
I just received the Canon 15mm Fisheye lens -- the first time I've owned one since the early 80s when I had a Sigma 16mm FE.
Within minutes of its arrival, I had to test it, right? One of my attempts was a quick backyard pano.
For this (low rez/quickie) 5-shot pano, I used LR3 to de-fish the images from my cropped 60D, then stitched in PSE8, then back for cropping and perspective in LR3. It would be nice if LR3 would include a stitch feature and we could end this jumping back and forth.
I can certainly see commercial uses for this lens, either single images or panos.
Here's a 4-shot example from full frame sensor. There is one obvious area of error in matching, but it gives an idea what could be achieved with FF and more exposures of narrower angles. The main problem is that these were hand held and should be on a tripod for more exact registration between images.
