Here are a few I shot this weekend on the ML21.......the baby Distagon. I purchased this lens from a FMer and tried shooting it on my Canon. It never resonated with me...manual focusing was a hassle.
I contacted Bifurcator and asked him if he'd like to play with it since I clearly wasn't doing it justice. Mailed it off to Japan and he put the lens through it's paces....as seen by some shots earlier in this thread.
The way we left it was that it would go against a possible future trade, but after picking up the NEX 7 and seeing how some of my rangefinder wides were having some corner issues, I asked him to mail it back.
I did a one lens weekend....only the ML21 on the NEX 7.
Been a little while in posting. Hit the mid-to-end-of-winter dooldrums and didn't pick up my camera for a longgggg time. Just took the family to Vancouver for a spring break trip, went to the Aquarium, Stanley Park, Seawall, and Science World. Good times, nice weather..........fun!
Oh ya, all with the Yashica 50mm ML on a Canon 7D......
With the ML 50/1.4 on 5D2, all shot at F1.4. Purple fringing is quite strong, too strong, and is much better at F2. These are not sharpness tests, all shot at ISO400 and at a slowish shutter speed (approx 1/40th).

Thanks.Yes I still have all of them but Planar 50/1.4,who suffered from ghosting and is gone now temporarily replaced by 50ZF (going out for sale) and 50ZF.2 (just acquired).
I have sold 200/4 and 180/2.8 in the past but bought them again recently.Still look for some non flaring 50/1.4 MM.
