6008AF, Hy6, AFi, DF645, H4D? I would love to buy your 40/3.5 in Rollei mount, but I guess price, shipping and everything will kill that idea

Try the H4D before you buy. Nice, competent system, but not the sort of camera I could fall in love with. I tried some at a Hasselblad day-event, and it is clearly capable, I just couldn't feel any emotion about it.

Just try it Maybe you will love it. It is clearly at the top of the market, with a larger and more comprehensive and better thought out system than Phase, IMO. My point is more that it is important to gain some knowledge about these things and not jump in like we would with a $1000 or $3000 purchase.

There are also some fantastic prices to be had on, for example, the H3DII-39 and similar cameras. Perhaps you could save a load of money if you don't need True Focus or the other couple of advances. Or you could go in the direction of the Leaf AFi, which would enable you to shoot 6x6 film as well.

If you really want to have a passionate relationship, you could try a Contax 645 with a Phase back. Older tech, but wonderful feel and lenses. I have one and just can't get myself to part with it, although I have sold my Hasselblad and switched to Rolleiflex, for my love of 6x6.

Thank you for your kind words of advise...
My eyes are getting worse everyday, so I thought about moving to AF system...
However, I'm still not 100% sure about the move...
Im hesitant only because i think i'm going to miss the wonderful output from the Rollei lenses...
I just might keep them after all...

Well, many of these lenses are available in AF versions, and can be used on the 6008AF or Leaf AFi/Sinar Hy6/Rolleiflex Hy6, so there is a square option if you are interested.

Yes, weird. I would just eat them. And why are those sneakers up on a wire too?

Anyhow. I might start contributing soon in this thread. Picked up a Bronica ETR today

Details in your panorama must be breathtaking. Did you print it?

I did a 2 x 8.5 foot print on our Canon iPF6300, but I do want to print it larger just to see the detail - the print is too small.

Here's a 100% crop of the centre:

Thought I'd help bump this thread to the front page again. The pictures here are very inspiring. Here are a couple of shots I took with my Yashica Mat124g TRL. I bought it years ago thinking it looked cool and not knowing a thing about medium format. Only recently have I really taken it out to shoot. Unfortunately, the pictures look a little foggy after I had them developed. I don't know if it's because the film was old (A friend gave me a couple rolls of Fuji film pro 160 which I'm sure were expired) or if there is something wrong with the camera itself. Either way, I just wanted to thank all of you who have contributed so far to this thread. While I love to shoot my D300, I had a very different experience shooting the Yashica. It sucks that the photos didn't turn out, but I am really considering saving up for a MF kit now that I've had a little taste of it and have you guys to keep me inspired.

Silvercall: I really like the first one.

Just got the test film back from the LAB that I shot last sunday with my recently purchased ETR. Film used was Porta 160.
