Frank, imho the 35/1.4 should be reason to disqualify people from photography because it makes it too easy to create amazing images.
And I do agree - you should get it asap!!
I just processed a bunch from my recent Yokohama walkabout and I am seriously amazed at the LOD and colour rendition even on 5DC....
I post some soon...
Cheers guys!
The Zeiss colour rendition is appealing indeed. That little dragon always throws me, because it looks oversharpened around the edges. In fact, it's the mold of the actual figure that is a culprit..
Nice ones again Kros, colors of the second are awesome.
And while on the subject of sharpening, I might add that my second shot above is (hopefully) not oversharpened, the tree is wet and the reflections from the quite intense light gave it a special effect.

Carsten, didnīt Gursky take a similar image?
He did take an image of such baskets, they are very common in old German factories. Funny, I remember watching a video where he is walking around in such a place, but I do not recall what the final image looks like. I imagine it is epic, with a huge view of the place, possibly extended in Photoshop.
I love his stuff. I wish I could have had more baskets on my shot, and a better defined edge on the right, but this was part of a museum, and the only filled a few baskets with sample clothes.
