Here are three recents shots from my newest addition - a CJZ 35mm f/2.4. So far I'm quite happy with this lens - especially its ability to close focus.
I like those two shots, Joakim. They remind me a bit of Samuli's work, but different. The first one is especially good, although the colours and contrast are a little weak somehow.
FlyPenFly, I must say I like the first one because I have almost an exact copy of it on my hard drive. Maybe I was standing a little bit more to the left.
Luka, interesting results from stitching with the ZF21. Apart from the strange bends of the cable I like the photo, nice composition. Do you use Photoshop for stitching or some other software?
I am looking forward to my first manual lens and definitely want to try Zeiss. Need a lens mostly for portrait. Beautiful bokeh is a must! Will be mounted on my new D7000. What do I get?
50 Planar, 50 Makro-Planar, 85 Planar, 100 Makro-Planar would all be good portrait lenses, with different strengths. What effective focal length do you want, and do you prefer extremely narrow depth of field, sharpness or look?
Unless you're going for a harsh contrast look which is its own documentary style, I don't think Zeiss lenses are great for portraits.
If I were looking for a portrait lenses I would look for something with a softer rendering and perhaps even some crazy bokeh like some of the Soviet lenses. The old Nikon AF-D 85mm F1.4 did a great job of being a portrait lens because it had a sombrero like resolution in the centers at wide apertures.

As it happen, I was looking for a CY 35-70 for a 5D2 but just won a CY 28-85 on an ebay auction - I think I like the extra mm's below 35. From what I've read it should be a very good lens too.

Contax N 85/1.4 is an incredible zeiss portrait lens which has beautiful bokeh.
I would also suggest ZE 35.1.4 which has beautiful bokeh too.
