Good guess! Boom is Avenger D650 plus two counterweights for 14kg total (needed for such a heavy light fixture). The stand is the Matthews Junior Low Boy, which is plain awesome. Wheels are essential for this kind of rig.
Visited Arizona's Mogollon Rim yesterday to shoot from a couple spots discovered a couple weeks ago. The weather was a little too nice--not enough cloud cover to disrupt the bright sun, but I was there, and shoot I did.
Sony a99, RAW, Sony/Zeiss 50/1.4 (ZA). First is a 5-frame pano stitched in PS. F11, 1/15, ISO100, vertical frames, camera rotated on a Kirk BH.
There's a tiny spec of light in the far-lower-right corner; here 'tis at 100%.
Weird Stump. Same lens, F1.6, 1/800, ISO100.
I'm really pleased with the resolution of this system, especially with the two Zeisses I have, the other being the 16-35/2.8. The Sony 70-300/4.5-5.6/G is also excellent. Have a couple 85/1.4s coming, the original (1987) Minolta and the current Zeiss; we'll see how they do.
Has anyone been fortunate enough to own both the 50mm f2 MP and the 55mm f1.4 Otus? I am just curious as to how they compare and, when you might choose to shoot with the MP and when you would choose the Otus. Obviously, both are great lenses and the Otus, in particular, is outstanding.
Finally taken my 100-300 out after rear element replacement.
Growing rather fond of it, not least because I suddenly am able to focus rather well even stopped down to f8...

I'm on my phone and can't see the larger images at the moment... But how is the field curvature of the G 28mm on the A7? It's pretty noticeable on my 5R, I assumed it'd make the lens unusable on the A7.

very nice, did you have eye surgery?
Nah...I am just amazing like that.. as well as modest as most humble..lol..
Seriously though, I don't find it problematic to stop down f8 and focus in good conditions.
Lens had an eye surgery - extremely grateful to Zeiss for kindly selling me a rear element for replacement..

most people think it makes it unusable, i think its still pretty useful for certain types of shots, particularly closer up. much of the character comes through despite the crazy field curvature.
stopped down landscape stuff works better if you focus to ~3-5m instead of infinity.

Sometimes it work in my favor, sometimes it drives me nuts. Wide open, the curve is such that you can do some fun things in the corner thirds. The edges and corners can get quite sharp wide open when you focus for them, at least on crop - breaks my heart a bit.
Your samples look pretty good - not as different from my 5R as I'd been led to believe. Are these corrected for color shift?
