All my Zeiss lenses are Nikon mount (except my Sony FE, Hasselblad and Rolleiflex lenses). My Contax 50/1.7 and 80-200/4 are Leitaxed, the others are ZF.2.
A few shots cross posted from the A7 thread...gotta keep this one going too!
A7 & Contax 35-70...a perfect match! The 35-70 was made to use on the A7, IMHO!! I bet it would do fantastic on ye A7/r, too...

Here are a few from the M Monochrom with an older Zeiss lens. Carl Zeiss Jena 5cm f/1.5 Sonnar, this particular lens was made in 1937 for Contax mount and adapted to Leica LTM by Brian Sweeney using Russian Jupiter 3 focus helical. It is uncoated, but still not too bad with flare so long as a hood and a little care is used.
And a few more from the MM with 1937 Sonnar. Again all shots with orange filter except the last one, which was shot in available darkness with no filter.
Here is my 1937 Carl Zeiss Jena 5cm f/1.5 Sonnar, fitted with orange filter and hood, mounted to my new (to me) Leica M5. The M5 is a very late production model, purchased fully serviced from Sherry Krauter. Currently 6 exposures into my first roll of Tri-X.
Image taken with Leica M Monochrom with Leica 90mm f/2.5 Summarit-M, minimal post.
Who says they don't make them like they used to. Pardon the crappy image quality (iPhone in bad light on a cluttered desk).
Leica M Monochrom with modern Carl Zeiss 50mm f/1.5 C Sonnar ZM and Leica M5 with 1937 Carl Zeiss Jena 5cm f/1.5 Sonnar. The end results from both are actually quite similar, both optically and tonally (depending on the film selected).
