Thanks to this thread, I wanted to get hold of a 1.4 85 planar in either CY, ZF or ZE version. Finally, I succeeded and got myself a christmas present (mint ZF model) that fortunately could be tested in the woods prior to putting it away until Dec 24.
It feels a bit strange to have a lens from "the dark side" where everything turns the opposite way. Nonetheless, no regrets. I am positively impressed.

I used to reference zeiss mtf charts against those lenses which I already have, then compare against those which I intend to buy. That way I have a feel on what I will (or will not) be getting.. :-)
