Rony - Besides the beautiful flower, very nice portrait of your daughter. I also like the tree line shot. It makes me want to see what lies beyond.
Edward - Very nice BW work. I like the hand shot. Is she missing a ring ? Sommelier shot is very nice too.
Lieutenant - Powerful shot right there. I feel the pull on the chain.
FlyPen - I like the rendition of lower part on the first shot. I feel like I can sense the humidity in the air.
Wilhelm - Great set ! I like all of them. Great color there.
Playing around with flower shot. Rony inspired me, but not even trying to get to that level. Just playing with PP, messing with clarity slider and stuff. Sort of trying to make slightly unreal look.
Luka, nice first version. For a more unreal look what about de-saturating the dark purple flowers in the front?
Ronny, nice portrait.
Wilhelm, great set.
Lieutenant Z, excellent photo from Notre Dame on the previous page.
akul, lovely flower shot superb colors. Would have loved the complete vase too :-)
joakim, nice set. The last shot makes me wanna do long shuttertimes. Very nice!
ronny, lovely shot - or rather - portrait of your dog.
hiepphotog, appreciate the comment on PP, looking now some of them could have sed a bit less cooking perhaps. Love the purple glass, beautiful light but perhaps I would add just a tad more (white) space to the right and below.
Flypen, I've seen that beautiful upside-down car in the book of #3, just cant put my finger on it. I think it's a Italian drawn non-Italian car but still European? Can you help?
Philippe, very nice. Saw the similar shot in the ZX-thread too. Very well executed in complicated light.
Edward - Thanks for the suggestion. I agree, I struggled with the composition a bit. Whether to include the whole vase, or not. If not, how much to include, etc.. ( I still tend to not like cropping in PP so much, though, I am getting a bit more tolerant now than before )
Joakim - Really nice capture with 28. #1 has some magical draw, I can't quite pin point it. #3 (85P shot) is lovely with the selective focus.
Ronny - Nice portrait of your dog.
hiepphotog - I really like the cup and light. 1.2 ? What lens was it taken with ?
FlyPenFly - Interesting effect of slight blur on the shot from moving train. Mountain and the buildings look pretty sharp to me, however, the tree beyond the buildings is where something interesting makes the trees feel less sharp. Possibly something on the window ? Or you opened the window to shoot this, I don't know. Citroen shot is very crisp. Those G lenses are quite good.
Lieutenant - I really like the feeling of the shot. Very interesting viewpoint.
Wilhelm I agree the composition is a bit restricted. I did it that way because the cup was right at the edge of the table and on the right it would include some other distracting elements. Definitely, I could have set it up better.
Instead of posting a picture taken with Zeiss glass, I would like to post the next picture.
To everyone who is new in the alt forum, go back now before it's to late.
Carsten -- Well, I shipped out two more Contax/Zeiss lenses today (135/2.8 and 80-200/4), leaving me only the CZ 50/1.4. This one may go too if I can find a good deal on a 50L.
Sold a couple Leica's too, leaving me four (nothing fancy or expensive), but soon down to three there.
So, I won't be bothering y'all too much with my banal Zeiss images. Ha-ha!
I'm sure I'll eventually get some more ZE lenses, having now owned the 50/1.4, 21/2.8 and 35/2.
I'll still be stopping by to look at the awesome pictures posted here by some of my favorite photographers.
